The Art of Self Love – An afternoon with Kim Morrison
Date And Time
Sun., 30 June 2019
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm AEST
Moama Bowling Club
6 Shaw Street
Moama, NSW 2731
Local wellness advocates Liz Sefton- The Nourishing Home together with Dr Suzy McCleary from Echuca Family Acupuncture are thrilled to join forces to bring self love expert Kim Morrison, Founder of Twenty 8 Essential Oils and the Author of ‘The Art Of Self Love’ to our region.
At this event Kim will delve into the power of self love. She will speak about the numerous challenges she has overcome in her life and how she developed the circle of self love so that any person of any age can be their best selves. This event will be full of inspiration, authenticity, humour and high energy as well as practical tools and solutions.
There is so much more to Kim Morrison than meets the eye. Tenacity is probably the first word that comes to mind. Her journey and all she has accomplished to date has all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost.
Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours in 1989. 68 year old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up!
Kim believes it is your inner power, passion and commitment and having truckloads of self-belief that distinguishes you as an achiever. It’s about visualising your dream and going for it – regardless of the feedback you receive or the challenges you face. As a 5 times best-selling author, creative director of Twenty8, aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator and a multi-tasking mum and wife, Kim is someone who shares her essential tools for self-care, discipline, leadership and teamwork and most of all the importance of the art of self love.
Our amazing MC for the day will be Life and Career Coach Tash Spencer. With a background in psychology and social work, it was through experiencing her own ‘career crisis’ that inspired Tash to become a certified coach and support fellow millennials and ambitious women to get unstuck, rediscover their skills, passions and talents, and lead meaningful lives and careers doing what they love.
Proceeds raised including an amazing raffle on the day will support Love me Love You Foundation, a non-profit organisations that provides interactive and engaging programs to help young adults to take control of their mental wellbeing and to live happier, more fulfilling lives. Funds will go directly to Love me Love You workshops to be delivered in our local region by trained facilitators based on real life experiences.
There will also be a variety of exhibitors at the event who have the ability to help you on your wellness journey. Plus a fabulous goodie bag and amazing lucky door prizes!
